Monday Mood Board: A White Winter Wedding…
Good Morning, we hope you all had a fabulous weekend, and are all ready for Christmas! Can you believe it is this week?! (Calms self down…) Anyway, this time last week we took a look at the lovely winter metallic colours, taking inspiration from the beautiful baubles adorning our trees and the glistening cards on the fireplaces. This week, however, we are taking inspiration from one thing that is synonymous with winter. Nothing quite says a winter wedding like a white wedding, right?
Even though the un predictable weather in England means that we may, or may not have a white Christmas. Why not take inspiration for your very own special day from today’s dreamy white palette?
I guess this is kind of the easy part? Many brides opt for a white dress, or slightly off white dress as it is! The brides dress then paired with beautiful bridesmaids dresses – and that will be an entrance that is truly unforgettable! Even though this time of year is un-doubtably colder than the summer months, I am loving these knee length dresses. Dress then up, or wear them down! We believe that a white wedding can suit any type of bride or style.
Take a look at The Wedding Affair approved bridal boutiques, they will be able to offer you priceless help and guidance, not to mention absolutely gorgeous dresses!
At this point try deciding whether you are going to set a dress code. Are you going to go all out and set a white dress code for your guests? Think about how you will do this to make it clear to guests what your visions are of the day, will you include it in stationery?
Personally, I think that there is something so pure and elegant about an all white wedding theme. It would definitely suit both modern and classic brides, without a doubt! Take a look at our idea’s below for the more modern bride. We love the simplistic styling paired with the clean cut branches, or a little touch of sparkle.
For the perfect white wedding cake we are loving both of these below. The bottom left, for more of a woodland, rustic theme. Then, the top right a slightly more botanical, and classical look. Of course, both of these cakes would look just as gorgeous on there own for an all white wedding.
Here we have some idea’s for the more classical wedding… take inspiration from luxurious detailing and larger than life florals.
Have a dreamy and romantic all white wedding like Kim Kardashian did. Take inspiration from lush, extravagant blooms. Here we have added touches of green to the palette. Actually, that brings us to the pantone 2017 colour of the year… the colour ‘Greenery’ – Described as a refreshing and revitalizing shade, Greenery is symbolic of new beginnings. Just perfect for your 2016/2017 winter wedding.
We love how this subtly works so well with the white floral’s and stunning simplistic settings. A white wedding doesn’t have to be all white. there are lots of ever so stylish ways you can add little pops of colour, if you aren’t feeling the whole white theme. try incorporating different shades of greenery, or pretty muted pastel colours.
Have you held an all white wedding? How did you stick to all the dress codes, or did you come across any difficulties? Do let us know in the comments section below… have a fabulous day! x
