Carrying a few basic essentials…
This will ensure that, whatever the eventuality, you’ll be covered!
It’s the night before your wedding day, and you’ve planned everything down to a T: your dress is hanging ready to wear, your maids have calmed your nerves and you’re ready for your beauty sleep!
You couldn’t have planned the day in greater detail, but it’s impossible for even the most organised bride to cover absolutely everything. Not to worry: we’re on hand to help! For those little make-up emergencies or trips and spills, our Top Tips Tuesday today provides you with the guide you need to make sure you have everything to hand to deal with any minor mishap swiftly and quickly: your guests will be none the wiser!
Pop these items into your bridal bag, or give them to your Maid of Honour or trusted friend.
Your hair stylist has done an incredible job of that stunning bridal up-do, but even she can’t prevent your excitable flower girl pulling a piece down! Perhaps it’s coming to the end of the evening and, after a day of British weather and hugging every one of your family and friends, your hair might not be looking quite its morning best. Having a few bobby pins to hand solves the problem!
Even the most talented make-up artist can’t ascertain that your lipstick will withstand the wedding breakfast, the glasses of champagne and, of course, that first kiss as a married couple! Ask your make-up artist to get you a lipstick in the shade you’ll be wearing, so you can keep it with you and top up as you like throughout the day.
Sweet chilli canapés and after-dinner coffee? Stay fresh all day long when you’re up-close and personal by keeping a couple of sneaky mints to hand.
Basic Sewing Kit
Let’s hope your cousin doesn’t trip on your train but, if they do, a needle and a little thread can fix it quickly and easily – so it’s a great idea to have a mini sewing kit to hand. Give this to your Maid of Honour to keep hold of!
You’ve worn your shoes in and practised walking in them for hours but, with the heat, hours on your feet and, of course, plenty of dancing, your feet are starting to feel a little sore. A few plasters to quickly pop on will prevent any pesky blisters and keep you dancing ‘till dawn!
Finally, and most crucially, this is one brides often forget – and it’s maybe the most necessary! It’s going to be an emotional day, so keep a tissue or two to hand to catch those mascara-tears: not to mention to pass to the emotional groom too!
Make sure you have this little emergency kit packed with essential extras with you on the day to ensure your wedding sails smoothly.
