Venue options are vast this season and the season spring conjours up images of lovely light and bright days, especially after the darkness of winter. A wedding on a day such as this sounds idyllic but remember, spring weather is unpredictable so choose your venue carefully. Plan around the beautiful spring sunshine but also look at the options if the weather isn’t so great, too. Will your venue allow you to have an outside caterer, what about a mobile bar or Photo Booth?
Either way, talk to your wedding suppliers about options for Spring and how to work with your venue. Your photographer will know how to organise group shots and give professional advice on what to do if it rains on the day, different lighting and all the other technical bits n’ bobs.
Before anything, we would recommend you take a quick look at our approved venues, they are ever so beautiful, and we have every style, shape and size imaginable! Tipi, check! Marquee, check! Hotels and Stately homes, check! Barn Conversions… you guessed it! What would your dream venue be for this season, loves?

The Colour Scheme
For a stunning spring wedding, forgo darker hues in flavor of lighter, airier shades. We love white weddings with pops of pretty pastel pinks or bold colours such as bright yellows, coral, or magenta. Figure out what works best in your space, but avoid heavy tones that make everything feel dense and small spaces, even smaller.
Spring is also a season where there is heaps of pretty light and for longer, too. Use this to your advantage by using bright spaces if you’re in a venue and marquee’s with plenty of light and open windows if you’re outside. Greenery is a colour that will work in favour of adding a refreshing touch to your venue, and even though it’s not the Pantone colour of the year anymore, it’s so on trend.

Attire & Fashion…
For warmer spring weddings, do consider some stay-cool attire. The bride and groom should feel comfortable and confident – not sticky! For your wedding dress, try on light fabrics that breathe, such as silk or tulle. Alternatively, why not follow the example of many modern brides who are opting for shorter skirts, jumpsuits or a removable cape for when you move onto the dance floor.
If you just can’t resist the heavy traditional princess or A-line gown (after all, who could?) You could always wear it during the ceremony and then change into an elegant sheath for dancing. The perfect excuse for two dresses, and something we are seeing more and more of. Of course, your dream dress is your dream dress and the season may not even influence your decision – this is totally up to you!
Oh, and a floral crown is an essential, right?
