Monday Mood Board: A Spring Time Barn Wedding…
Good morning, loves! Ah, don’t you just wish that all Monday mornings were lazy ones, such as today? I hope that you’re all having a well deserved lie in and enjoying your lovely and long weekend. I’m certainly feeling a little sluggish after way too many hot-cross buns and chocolate eggs! How will you be spending your final day off today? Perhaps some essential wedmin, catching up with the family or simply, just having a duvet day. Either way, we have some perfectly pretty inspiration for you this morning, and it comes in the form of elegant and rustic gorgeousness.
For today’s mood boards of course, we just have to reflect Spring and too, the gorgeous array of colours that this gorgeous season has to offer. We are putting together everything that is inspiring us for a rustic, yet chic barn wedding.
On with the pretty!

If your love for wildflowers goes beyond the well-worn custom of offering packs of seeds as wedding favours, then consider floral décor filled with these Au-natural blooms. Of course, they don’t actually have to be hand picked by yourselves, we recommend choosing a florist to do the hard work for you. Anyhow, for a stunning selection of flowers for your spring time barn wedding, we think that wild looking flowers will look great adorning a rustic setting.
Flowers that are also coming into bloom this month are Peonies, a firm favourite of ours at The Wedding Affair, too! Peonies are a great choice of flower for colourful, and larger than life blooms and useful for bulking up bouquets.

Another all time favourite are the gowns from the oh-so talented Hermoine De Paula. Her lovingly hand made and designed dresses are bespoke to each, and every single bride, meaning you will have a true piece of artwork to wear on one of the best days of your life. We love the embroidered detailing, the modern yet romantic designs and of course, the whole beauty behind the dresses. This is definitely one designer you have to keep a note of and perhaps is just perfect for your rustic wedding.
For the boys, we are loving gorgeous green, ethereal buttonholes. Don’t you agree they would look gorgeous paired with masses of foliage, statement styling, and tweed suits?

The thing we love the most about wedding stationery is how personal it can be. It’s a chance to really wow your guests and gets them excited for your big day! Stationery is your chance to really set the tone with an invite and let your guests know what to expect, in this instance, we are still looking to delicate blooms, once again inspired by all the lovely hues that this season offers us.
To opt for something a little different, we are thinking less of the traditional rustic look, and more of the classical, ever so stylish type for your barn wedding.

You know we just can’t get enough of the Pantone 2017 colour of the year, Greenery.
If there were one style or theme that always feels like it fit for a wedding it would be botanical. Everyone knows that flowers and weddings are basically made for each other, so for this palette we are looking at lovely green and lush botanicals that would marry perfectly with your Spring-time barn wedding.
Take inspiration from zesty shades of green for a gorgeous light airy feel, and darker hues for a much more rich, opulent feel.
