Monday Mood Board: Metallic Love – Silver
Hello, lovelies. I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend?
This week, our Monday Mood Board feature is our second to take place out of a 3 part blog series as a nod to our favourite winter-time colours; Copper, Gold and Silver. Last week, we had a catch up with Copper, one of our all time winter wedding crushes. We discussed cutsey copper cakes, gifts for your loved ones and plenty of sensational styling, too. Today’s will be similar but of course, about silver.
Whilst not as popular in terms of wedding styling, silver is a popular colour for jewellery amoung many of us. Known for its classic style and glamour lustre, this sparkling wedding colour theme can make any wedding venue seem elegant and regal.
So without further adu, let’s vamp up the glitter and head to today’s mood boards for a super stylish silver winter wedding.

Planning a winter wonderland wedding doesn’t have to necessarily have to mean white.
Create a winter fairy-tale by adding touches of silver (or another colour for that matter) to make a sparkling statement. Glass charger plates paired with silver crockery and flowing organza tablecloths is just one way of adding dreamy, ethereal touches and keeping it simple, yet chic; whilst opting for larger than life ivory blooms, silver candelabra and elaborate props is another way to incorporate luxe styling into your precious day.
Either way; understated or glamorous, silver is a colour that perfectly compliments rustic charm or other luxurious options.

Things That Go Glitter…
Just take a look at this glamorous gown… not only does it still carry on that ethereal, yet luxe vibe, but we love how a simple wedding colour palette can be dressed up with sleek embellishments and ornate jewels. Couples can choose to highlight a neutral wedding colour palette by including cream details, silver or mirror accents, and light-colored blooms to grey, beige or neutral décor. We are crushing over a high-glam pair of shoes and matching opulent jewellery, too.
Capturing the beauty of this colour palette is all in the details, whether it be subtly placed upon your shoes, cake, or statement jewellery; simple elegant touches on your reception table or the colour of your wedding dress. Look for delicate ways to bring hints of silver into your special day.

Set The Scene…
Set the scene of your special day with little added details.
Although not silver, this cake is certainly going to make a statement. Grey is the perfect compliment for silver, and even if you choose a silver-look foil on the cake, it will guaranteed look beautiful. Just complete with trailing flowers and lush ever-greens. Since modern metallic décor details are becoming more and more popular, grey beautifully complements both silver and gold embellishments on wedding cakes and sweet treats.
Another advantage of the colour grey is that the hue can work just as well for a vintage-themed weddings as it can for a sophisticated opulent celebration. The cake on this board would look great for both styles – add lace for romantic vintage, or gold/silver leaf for a modern, yet classic look.
