The Beauty Bible: Shimmer This Season With The Wedding Affair
Happy Friday, everyone! I hope you’re well and looking forward to the weekend? The Christmas markets are in full swing, we’re merrily sipping on mulled wine, and even just a little tempted to bring out the festive movies (It’s not too early, is it?). Do you have any Chrismassy plans this last weekend of November? In the meantime however, let’s get straight to it with our famed ‘Beauty Bible’ feature.
You know a festive beauty look when you see it – perhaps some glitter strewn about, or a pop of velvety red lipstick. And, don’t forget that this is the one time of year you get a pass on a little too much highlighter. Now that we’re heading into party season, let these red carpet and fashion award beauty-looks inspire you to put a festive spin on your day-to-day makeup.
Why not take the opportunity to try something different this weekend?- from a new twist on the smoky eye, to glittering lips and the nail polish of the season.
A Glitter Lip
If you can’t try a glitter lip at Christmas, when can you? Pat McGrath’s Lust 004 Kit gives the most perfect sparkly smile. She used this to create those bold ruby pouts at a past Atelier Versace fashion show.
Create a makeshift version by applying make-up-grade fine glitter on top of just-applied lipstick using a cotton bud or if you have to hand, a precise l brush. Keep the rest of your make-up simple to let your lips shine, literally!
A daring move, but the perfect way to sparkle up your wedding day or festive party.

VB X Estee Lauder (Highlight Heaven)
Victoria Beckham for Estee Lauder. Oh, boy. This collection still has our hearts!
This has to be up there with our most loved beauty launches. There are luminous skin perfecters, colourful eye-shadow quads, black chunky eyeliners, shimmering highlighters, matte lipsticks – the products cover all bases and pair perfectly for your party face.
Several favourites from the original launch, including the radiance-boosting Morning Aura Illuminating Crème and the famed dewy look Eye Foils have made a comeback, but there is also plenty of newness. The collection in which, is a dream for the glitter loving gal.

Glitter, of course, is a huge trend this season, so if you won’t wear it on your lips then why not wear it with smudgy black liner. There are many different brands that do them, one that we particularly love just has to be the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick.
From a smokey dark bold to shimmering golden shades, there a little like foil eye shadows, apart from you can use them as an eye liner, eye smudges and there a little more subtle.

Get Your Highlight On
Of course, your Christmas party look would not be complete without a luxurious highlighter. One that we are absolutely loving presently is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder. Yes, it may not be one of the sparkliest highlighters going, but if you are looking for an Instagram filter worthy powder, this is most definitely the one!

Finally, to tie to look together, choose an eye-catching nail colour for the season’s parties. Our tip? Choose a colour that you will be able to admire every time you lift up your glass of Prosecco!
Chanel’s Le Vernis in Liquid Mirror is a long-wear, protective nail polish with lasting shine designed to make vibrant colours dazzle! It’s extra-fine, ultra-shiny and each coat offers an absolutely even and lacquered result. And, just how stunning is the colour below?
