Monday Mood Board: A Romantic Blush Wedding
Hello, lovelies! I hope you all had the best weekend, what did you get up to? As we step into a new week, we start afresh with a ‘Monday mood board’ and today’s is arguably is one of The Wedding Affair’s most beloved wedding colours. Blush is a key colour in our branding, after all! I’m sure you will agree, the colour combination that we’re swooning over today is incredibly elegant, classy and oh-so fashion forward, however married into your pretty wedding day.
Over the years we have seen more and more of delicate blush hues, rose golds and pretty pinks being featured in weddings, and there is no surprise really. It’s simply stunning. A true trendy colour, and the best bit? It pairs wonderfully with so many different colour, hues and styles, making for a true romantic, dreamy and ethereal wedding.
Take a look below for plenty of inspiration, gorgeous ones…

I guess the fashion is kind of the easy part, right? Many brides opt for a white dress, or slightly off white dress as it is and of course, this marries perfectly with pink. As for the Groom? Grey or navy suits are very of the moment however, black for a classic black tie do would also work well with added pink for a romantic touch.
Add a touch of glamour to your wedding day palette by adding sequined dresses, or mix up different shades of blush for the bridesmaids. They would go perfectly with your Blush pink theme, no matter what the season.

Isn’t there just something so pure and elegant about a blush colour choice? It would without a doubt definitely suit both modern and classic brides.
Also, do remember that a blush wedding doesn’t have to be all pink hues. There are lots of ever so stylish ways you can add little pops of colour here and there. We adore the simplistic styling paired with the clean cut branches and foliage a-plenty. Or a little touch of blue, whites or pretty muted pastels work too for a romantic and dreamy look.
Be inspired by peonies and a combination of foliage and roses (we’re still obsessing over the Pantone colour of 2017, Greenery). Add an extra touch of sparkle by spraying your flowers with rose gold paint, unique but stylish. Finally, complete the look with ribbon to wrap around the stalk of your flowers to add a hint of colour.

All of the details
So, you have already selected the dress of your dreams, you have decided upon the dress code and you have spent hours deciding whether you are going to opt for Peonies or Hydrangea. It’s now time to decide upon the sweet treats, signature cocktails and finalise stationery designs for the day to give that final touch of class.
For the perfect wedding cake we are adoring the one below complete with delicate detailing. It doesn’t have to be fussy, I guess less is more in this instance however, the solid lines perfectly compliment the elegance of the colour and modern edge with gold leaf.
Oh, and as for those signature cocktails? We’re definitely thinking something that’s sweet, classic and preferably served in pink, would be the perfect finishing touch. Any idea’s, loves?!
