All You Need Is Love Photography: A Gorgeous Wedding At The Talbot Hotel, Malton…
It’s not often we write blogs on a Saturday, we secretly keep them free for special moments. And, today we have just that for you all of our lovely Brides and Grooms-to-be, and of course beautiful readers. On this rather cold and gloomy morning, we have just the thing to brighten your day.
Firstly, we would like to give a huge thank you to Becki from All You need Is Love Photography, and the gorgeous Jo and Dan for letting us share their very special day with us! What a beautiful day it was, and just how it should be – surrounded by family and friends. Plus, take a look at how stunning Jo’s Pronovias dress is. Romantic, ever so elegant and suit’s her down to a T.
Mr & Mrs Whitworth got married on Sunday the 4th of May, 2014. After having saying the “I do’s” at St Helen’s and the Holy Cross, Sheriff Hutton, It just so happens that they had there pretty reception at The Talbot Hotel, in Malton. One of our approved venues, and ever so gorgeous. I bet you will instantly fall in love with the relaxed country decor, the perfectly landscaped gardens and the classic British design.
The first thing that Jo and Dan booked was the venue, as it was local to the Church and, simply, because it’s stunning – we could’t agree more!Jo and Dan met through mutual friends on a night out in Greenwich. They were friends for 3 years and then hooked up properly in September, 2010. They got engaged November 2012, and then finally tied the knot two and a half years later!
Here’s Dan for a little bit more on their dreamy day…
“Jo is a gorgeous person in every sense- she’s everything I want to be and everything I want from life… and I’m very blessed she’s now the mother to my 2 children – Judy born one week before our year anniversary – and James who is 4 months old.”
How was the inevitable question popped, where and who by:
“By me, Dan, in a Belfast hotel room (after rain scuppered my plans to do it at the Giants Causeway). We were fresh out of the shower after having been drenched…”
Can you tell us about your Day, did you have a theme and what made it so special?
It was an amazing day, no theme and it was special because I got to marry my wife!
How did you plan your wedding, what parts of the wedding were more important to you and why:-
The church service was the most important, followed by venue, live band and then the food. We planned service by ourselves and then the hotel had a wedding planner who helped sort the reception. The photographer was also a key person – We wanted a special set of pics for the day.
Where did you get your wedding dress and why did you choose that designer or style? Tell us more about the bridesmaids, groom and usher outfits and what brought them all together?
The Groom and usher outfits were hired from Moss BROS. Jo’s dress was Spanish dress from Pronovias.
If you had the chance to do it all again and you could change one thing, what would it be and why?:-
I’d make the day go slower as it seemed to fly by all too quickly.
If you were to give other Brides and Grooms three top tips, what would they be and why?
- Only worry about yourselves – because no one else matters.
- Don’t worry about the little things – everything will sort itself out.
- Prepare for 10% of guests to drop out – because they will.
