Bride: Rebecca Kett
Groom: Daniel Kett
Wedding Date: Saturday, August 15th 2015
Wedding Ceremony: St Cuthberts Church, Wilton
Wedding Reception: Angrove Park, Great Ayton
Tell us a little bit about how you both met and how long you’ve been together. What made you fall in love?:-
We met at Daniel’s first gig with his band Dead Mans Shoes over 7 years ago!
How was the inevitable question popped, where and who by:-
The question was popped on Christmas Day by Daniel with a black diamond!
What excited you about getting married and the planning process, what was the first thing you booked?:-
That we could bring both our personalities into the process and have a day that was completely individual to us. We incorporated everyone and everything that we love into our day!
Where did you get your wedding dress and why did you choose that designer or style? Tell us more about the bridesmaids, groom and usher outfits and what brought them all together?
Laura Day Bridal and I went for a Pronovias fishtail dress. I’d wanted a fishtail dress and the dress I chose was the first I put on and loved straight away.
How did you plan your wedding, what parts of the wedding were more important to you and why:-
It was so important to Rebecca that we were married at St Cuthberts Church in Wilton as that’s where her mum and dad were married and where her grandmothers rest.
Tell our readers about your wedding venue, where is it and why you chose it?
We chose Angrove Park because they gave us so much freedom to incorporate everything we wanted. It was important to both of us that the Reception was a party and the festival theme we wanted matched Angrove perfectly!
Can you tell us about your Day, did you have a theme and what made it so special?
Our day was a festival theme as this is what both love to go to. We loved the informality of the Reception and it was important to us that everyone enjoyed our day as much as we did. We also had Parmos for our food which we both love being from Teesside. Our family and friends made it the day to remember for us!
If you had the chance to do it all again and you could change one thing, what would it be and why?:-
If you were to give other Brides and Grooms three top tips, what would they be and why?
Do it your way, don’t get bogged down in what other people want. It’s your day and the people you love will enjoy whatever you decide!
