A colourful wedding with an elegant touch.
Stunning teal? Strong purple? Delicate feather motif? A peacock themed wedding has it all.
Gone are the days when the peacock had superstitious connotations. Instead, today, it’s an increasingly popular theme for a bride and groom looking to make a bold statement on their wedding day. With strong colours and symbols, let your theme do the talking with vibrant styling. Or, if you’re looking for something a little more understated, use the peacock them in subtler ways. Whatever your style, this week’s Monday Moodboard is certain to inspire you.
Make a subdued nod to theme with peacock feather button holes for the groom. We love this rustic idea we spotted on Pinterest. Something a little bolder? Try a stunning statement shoe, like this one from Wedding O’Mania, or a bold belt (we love this added extra to Your Edmonton Wedding bride’s dress). Making a real splash with colour? The bride’s flowing peacock gown from Pinterest may be a little out-there, but you can always dress up your flower girls in brights. How cute do these Mona Luchi Bride flower girls look?
For décor, we love the understated elegance of the centrepiece florals from Wedding O’Mania. Or combine colour with class, like this beautifully luxurious table from Jet Fete. For stationery, we adore the simplicity of the fine design we saw on The Knot. And, when we’re thinking of bold and bright ideas, we’re looking to Party Simplicty’s bold and gold peacock invitations for inspiration.
There were so many stunning cakes to choose from that our third moodboard is solely dedicated to sweet wedding treats. We’re in awe of Pink Cake Box’s creation: how incredible is that cake topper? If you’d like a softer nod to your theme, a cupcake tied in a bow, and adorned with a peacock feather, is a lovely way to use the theme. We’re really been inspired by these Wedding Favors.
