Monday Mood Board: Living Coral – The Pantone Colour of 2019 is Unveiled
Hello, lovelies! I hope you all had the best weekend, what did you get up to? As we step into a new week, we start afresh with a ‘Monday Mood Board’ and today’s is arguably is a very, very special one indeed! “Why?” I hear you ask. Well the Pantone colour has being unveiled for 2019, and boy is it a beauty!
Living Coral is the colour of 2019, and we couldn’t be any more delighted with the choice. Not only does this pair pretty with an abundance of wedding themes and seasons, but it’s vibrant, uplifting hue is just what we need this bleak winter.
Take a look below for plenty of inspiration, gorgeous ones…
Pantone has announced its official Colour Of The Year for 2019, and it’s a bright, sunny, pinky-orange named ‘Living Coral’. Or, as Pantone describes it, “an animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energises and enlivens with a softer edge“. Which, unlike last year’s slightly more challenging Ultraviolet, makes it the perfect hue for incorporating into your make-up bag, bridal look or wedding-day styling.
Married with lush evergreens and available in an abundance of florals, for example Peonies, this sprightly colour is the perfect way to liven up your wedding day look.

What is the Pantone Colour of the Year?
For 20 years, Pantone’s Colour of the Year has influenced product development and purchasing decisions in multiple industries, including fashion, home furnishings, as well as product, packaging, and graphic design. Not forgetting about our own little wedding world!
The Colour of the Year selection process requires thoughtful consideration and trend analysis, combing the world looking for new colour influences.
Your Bridal Look can too, be inspired by living coral. We’re thinking pale peach accessories or a delicate coral flower crown, for a whimsical take on the colour at the year. Opt for some coloured heels for a pop of colour underneath your dress. And of course, your wedding bouquet will easily tie in with this trendy colour.
Not forgetting a pop of NARS Cosmetics Gilda Blush and a subtle coral lip.

Suiting both modern and classic brides, a pop of coral can liven up any wedding. Whether it be injected into the florals, interweaven between graphics and stationery or used to delicately ice a cake – there are many ways that ‘Living Coral’ can add some happy into your day.
Watercolour designs and calligraphy are both all the rage at the moment, and fortunately they both work beautifully with a peach and coral colour palette. We love the thought of finishing simple white invitations with a pretty coral illustration or flower motif. What do you think?
