Top Tip’s Tuesday: New Years Resolutions…
Good morning, loves! I hope that you’re all feeling well this morning, are you back at work? I was so ready to get back into routine and most importantly, healthy eating!
It’s that time of year again… “new year, new me“. We hear those comments get thrown around so much at this time of year. January is the time that we realise that we have in fact spent 2 weeks pigging-out on anything, and everything; we have drank too much (and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in the process!), and, exercise is something of the past. Of course, we haven’t regretted a single minute of it though.
People make new years resolutions for all different reasons, to find a new hobby, career progression, loose weight, or even just to start a fresh and find something that truly makes you happy. Of course, the main one is to get fitter, healthier and happier. Those extra mince pies enjoyed over Christmas can make us all feel a little bloated, sluggish and lacking in energy. So, why not vow to be a healthier, happier version of you, just in time for your new years resolution?

It’s also one of the main aspects of a wedding (rightly, or wrongly) “The Wedding Diet” is officially a thing, we can really see both sides of the whole health and fitness regime that Brides and Grooms alike go through; whether it be to feel more confident in wedding attire, or to even just get some motivation to be healthier. There are plenty of reasons why Bride’s and Grooms, in fact anyone, is wanting to make changes to their lifestyle’s.
There also is the argument that couples shouldn’t feel like they have to change their weight and lifestyle for the sake of one day (and rightly so, we couldn’t agree more!). We live in a world where their is so, so much pressure to look a certain way and this can be said even more for the way you look on your wedding day. Plus, your partner loves you just the way you are!
So, wether you do choose to take up a new regime in order to achieve weight loss or, to just be healthier and happier, do remember that your partner is marrying you because they already adore the way you are, and you shouldn’t feel like you should have to change the way you are for the sake of outside social pressures. Of course, if you feel like you just want to gain confidence and feel the best you can possibly do, then opting for a healthier lifestyle may be something you are thinking about. We have gathered together our favourite suppliers with some really fabulous advice for you all! So ditch the unhealthy fad diets and let the professionals do the talking…

Bridal Body Coach
There’s no denying the fact that exercise is one of the main ingredients for a healthy, happy and productive lifestyle. Luckily, Amy from The Bridal Body Coach has shared her pearls of wisdom on the benefits of exercise before your own big day. Where better to get some advice from a renowned nutritionist and personal trainer?
“Regular Exercise increases your blood flow. When you sweat during a workout, your skin expels all the impurities stuck in your pores, resulting in your skin looking more radiant as well as eliminating pimples and acne.
During exercise, our bodies releases the stress hormone – cortisol. This results in improved sleep and less dark circles around the eyes. Cortisol will leave you feeling and looking fresh! Furthermore, less stress will ensure you have fewer arguments with your other half, a healthy way to start a marriage.
During exercise, the structure of your skin will also be affected. Regular exercise boosts the production of collagen, particularly when strength training. Your muscles strengthen and tone which in turn makes your skin firmer and encourages more elasticity, making your skin feel and look healthier than ever!”We all want to look our best for our big day.
You have two choices available to you. You can opt for a quick fix, which is the unhealthy and unsustainable route. Alternatively, you can make getting body ready for your very own big day a change of lifestyle, from which you will reap benefits for the rest of your life.”
