Nothing says elegance and sophistication like a classic, traditional white theme.
Is it winter yet? Or are we still in autumn? Both spring and summer certainly seem far away!
Whatever the season you’ve chosen to marry in, you won’t go wrong with white. A stylish, trans-seasonal shade, it signifies elegance and class, and looks completely at home in a luxury stately home and marquee venue setting.
White is also the perfect backdrop for a simple, yet bold, colour addition: choose a vibrant red or pink! It’s also a fantastic contrast to black if you’re looking to make a strong statement: take a look at Olivia Palermo’s husband’s outfit, pairing a black tie and pocket square with white suit.
Or, perhaps, if you’re looking to draw out some natural features, a classic white look brings out the existing shades within your wedding day elements: such as the green leaves of your floral bouquet, as shown on our moodboards below.
Why not also chose white as the shade for your maids? Many brides in white choose a contrasting colour for their bridemaids’ dresses, but a subtle off-white shade – such as the Grecian-style dresses we’ve featured here – can complement you perfectly.
If you’d like to try a white overall theme, but are worried about it looking stark, blending tones and textures will give additional dimensions to the look. Take a look at the cakes and invitations we’ve shown in our moodboards as a perfect example of multi-textured white looks that add impact.
