For today’s Monday Mood Board feature we are taking inspiration from January blues. Undoubtedly, this month is a struggle for us all, the tighter budgets, the cold, trying to shift that few extra pounds worth of cheese, wine and mince pies; the cold, going back to work, and more cold. Yes, the end is in sight, and our ever so dreamy wedding fairs have started. So, I guess this month will be ending on a positive all round.
Beat the January blues with this gorgeous pastel shade – smart, chic, elegant and timeless.
For The Ladies…
January is a month for laid-back elegance and simplicity. So, for our first inspiration board, we created something that definitely banishes January blues, and embraces the winter chill, bare branches and soft romance of the season.
This is the perfect time of year to embrace a coloured wedding dress, nude chiffon or a romantic lace blue gown. We are swooning over the gowns below, created by Katya Katya Shehurina. Please can we now talk about *those* shoes. I am sure every bride would love to walk down the isle in a beautiful blue pair of Ralph & Russel heels, am I right, or am I right? Or, how about a lush pair of Valentino Rockstuds? Perhaps both would do! After all you only get married once…
Pale-hued flowers, white roses and blue hydrangeas create an understated and refined look. These paired with touches of natural materials, foliage and bare branches make for a stunning bouquet. Take inspiration from the Pantone Colour Of The Year “Greenery” to add more natural, simplistic styles to your blooms.
Why not join us this Saturday to see some amazing floral designs? Or, take a look at the stunning flowers on our approved supplier directory. We have hand selected the finest local florists and venue stylists.
You may have thought to yourself that their isn’t really that much options for blue styling, but just take a look at these two boards below! Pretty pastel hues combined with blush and white looks ever so dreamy, almost fairy tale style. And, we love it! If you want to liven it up, combine with blush hues and pretty pink’s .
Finish your day with a beautifully decorated cake, adorn it with delicate paper-thin sugar petals, or a touch of gold leaf for an opulent feel. We love the cool fading blue marble tiers of this subtle creation.
Can you tell we just love hydrangeas? We SO crushing on the cake below.
Beautiful blues used sparingly with elegant floral’s, or tableware touches and you really have picked a stunning colour palette, it pairs beautifully with golds, creams or equally blushes and pale pinks, exactly like Pantone’s 2016 colour of the year, rose quartz.
