Celebrate Easter with a pastel-coloured, flower-filled and chocolate-fuelled wedding day.
Spring really is in the air. We’ve been blessed with some truly gorgeous sunshine at our wedding fairs so far this year and, now we’re approaching the end of March, Easter in the horizon.
For many of you, that’ll mean a four day weekend, which may be spent celebrating the meaning of Easter with family and friends. For others, it might be the weekend of your big day! Whether you’re putting your last-minute weekend wedding plans together, or the date you’ve chosen next year falls on Easter weekend, this week’s Monday Moodboard is packed with Easter wedding inspiration.
Pastel hues are perfect for an Easter-themed big day, and we love the bridesmaids’ dresses we spotted on Weddbook. For the groom, take inspiration from these suited gents with their Easter-esque buttonholes and pastel ties. Flower girls in your ceremony? Why not give them an Easter basket to carry instead of a bouquet? Just make sure they don’t eat all the chocolates on the way down the aisle!
With so many beautiful blooms, we were spoilt for choice for Easter venue décor. Go for natural romance with a stunning bouquet (such as the one we spotted on She Knows), or try bold and bright with a Before the Big Day-inspired display (we love the Easter bunny napkin!). Use the Easter egg theme with delicate egg cup arrangements or candles to subtly tie your theme together.
Of course, how could we end an Easter-themed moodboard without turning to edible treats? From cupcakes to cakepops, you’ll delight guests with sweets treat favours. Alternatively, why not sit a cute Lindt bunny in their place to enjoy with their wedding breakfast coffee? Why spied this idea on Leez Priory. Finally, our mouths are watering just looking at the delectable carrot cake from Ireland’s Wedding Journal. Is Lent over yet?!
