Monday Mood Board: Rose Gold Wedding…
Rose gold is rapidly becoming a favourite choice for wedding themes, both due to its feminine and timeless appeal
Here at The Wedding Affair we have created this weeks Monday Mood Board using tones and shades of gold and pink, taking different inspirations for your wedding theme, and they just happen to pair amazingly together. (We hope you agree?)
It is such a sweet, feminine, and classy look. Gold and Pink are two of the most beloved colours for weddings, and together they are twice as nice, you can really do a lot with this colour duo.
The Engagement and Planning…
So why choose a rose gold Engagement ring or wedding band…both unique and romantic, rose gold has a warm, pink hue created by combining yellow gold with a copper alloy. A rose gold ring may be perfect if you are going for a vintage themed wedding, as they are ideal for those with a taste for tradition and vintage style. They can suit both those with warmer and cooler skin tones, if your skin tone changes seasonally, rose gold may be a great choice.
Add a touch of luxury to your wedding stationery by adding a foil stamp that will be sure to leave a lasting impression on your guests. Foiling is a traditional artisan method of hand printing, the card is stamped with a beautiful metallic finish. The eye catching metallic shine will make your stationery feel extra special.
For The Ladies…
Add a touch of glamour to your wedding day palette by adding sequined dresses, or mix up different shades of blush for the bridesmaids. They would go perfectly with your Rose Gold theme no matter what the season.
We absolutely love these heels from Ralph and Russo, they would look stunning for either bride and bridesmaid, so elegant…
Etsy is also giving us some serious inspiration with this cute flower girl dress, created with a delicate back sash and flowers handmade out of organza.
The Floral’s and Cake…
If you decide to extend your theme through to the flowers why not go for a soft shade of pink for your roses, when they have slightly aged they turn into an absolutely stunning colour…perfect for a vintage wedding as well. If you are getting married in the North West of England then William Higham have a lovely selection of Roses to meet any colour theme.
Be inspired with these lovely flowers, a combination of foliage and roses. Add an extra touch by spraying your flowers with rose gold paint, unique but stylish!
Add rose gold ribbon or foil to wrap around the stalk of your flowers to add a hint of colour to white floral’s, created beautifully by Amy Burke Designs.
Go all out with your cake and add rose gold sequins paired up with delicate blush flowers. We adore this cake from De La Creme Studio, inspired by art, fashion and a love for incorporating beautiful details and rich textures.
The Small Details…
Incorporate rose gold into your decor to create statement styling, combine darker and lighter shades of copper to create bold but beautiful pieces, guaranteed to wow your guests. Try a fabulous table runner from Etsy to add some sparkle to your tables, or for something more discreet use lanterns to style your venue.
Try including some unique D.I.Y ideas, such as this table plan made from stamped copper…this would double up as wedding favours too. We love how this creates so many different shades of rose gold!
Step out from the norm and use copper mugs, they would be fabulous idea to serve wedding reception drinks in, again to create something unique and will make your special day more memorable.
