Monday Mood Board: Metallic Love – Gold
Hello, everyone. I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend?
This week, our Monday Mood Board feature is our third to take place out of a 3 part blog series as a nod to our favourite winter-time colours; Copper, Gold and Silver. Previously, we had a catch up with Copper, one of our all time winter wedding crushes. We discussed cutsey copper cakes, gifts for your loved ones. Last week, we talked plenty of sensational styling for a silver wedding affair. Today’s will be similar but of course, we’re talking all about a gorgeous in gold winter wedding.
Gold is a metallic famed for it’s connotations for luxury, its classic style and glamour lustre, especially at this time of the year; this sparkling wedding colour theme can make any wedding venue seem elegant and regal. What’s more is that gold can pair with a huge variety of colours; red makes for a cosy Christmas setting, whilst Ivory creates classic connotations and blush adds a touch of femininity. What you can be sure of though, is that gold will give you glamour and the perfect ambience for your winter warmer wedding.
So without further adu, let’s vamp up the glitter and head to today’s mood boards for gorgeous in gold wedding…

Gold is, well, the standard precious metal for rings. Most people seek out gold for their wedding bands and engagement rings in classy measure. Many people choose 14K or 18K gold for their engagement and wedding rings as oppose to 10K because the pure gold content and richer color, and yet, 10K gold is still a quality metal choice.
Either way, I think we can all agree on the fact that gold makes for a beautiful wedding colour, and if you’re choosing your rings to pair, then it makes perfect sense to pair the rest of your accessories up too, right? Dainty hair accessories, glittering Jimmy Choos’ and your jewellery could be all you need to complete your wedding-day look.
If you were wanting to opt for an alternative gown, however, there are many options out there for Champagne, gold, and glittering colour options. Ivory and blush would also pair oh-so pretty – what are your thoughts, loves?

Ivory and white have long been synonymous with weddings – their snowy elegance brings to mind a classy affair with tasteful table settings and refined glamorous décor. Luckily, today’s brides like to spice things up a bit by adding a splash of colour, or a touch of bling!
Ivory and gold has been holding steady as one of the wedding worlds most popular colour choices, and it’s no surprise – it’s one of those perfect combinations that looks amazing whether you add just a little, or a lot, of gold to ivory and vice versa.
If you have your heart set on this colour theme, your blooms would be just the perfect way to marry the two colours; charger plates, candelabra, scrolling stationery and glass wear and cutlery are all additional ways to add a little more sparkle into your styling. Oh, and we’re still lapping up the last of the Pantone colour of the year, Greenery with trailing vines and lush ever-greens.

Of course, you know that we love our little details a little too much, after all, it’s the perfect way to incorporate your wedding day colour that little bit more.
Set the scene to your lavish winter with stationery adorned with beautiful calligraphy, high quality papers, prints and plenty of extra-pretty. Gold foil, shimmering papers or delicate calligraphy are all ways of adding a little splash of colour without going “OTT”. If you’re seeking inspiration of other colours to marry well, you won’t go too far wrong with a pop of blush, off-white, navy, crimson or a dusty-grey. Be-a-u-tiful.
Hanging lanterns, fairy lights, candles and sparkler send off’s are also twinkling ways to carry that gold throughout the day, but in more subtle ways – they all will also create a warm and loving environment for you to spend some of the best memories dancing away, eating and catching up with loved ones – and cake, you can’t forget the cake!
