The Beauty Bible: Luxury Hair Care With Kérastase…
Good morning everyone, how are you all on this fine Friday Morning? We are so excited for this weekend, I am catching up with some friends I haven’t seen much of since College, and on Sunday, we are heading to the most gorgeous Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa. Even though the weather doesn’t look like it’s going to hold out, we still have our fingers crossed the sun will make an appearance, just for us. We are sure it’s going to be an amazing day, and I am looking forward to seeing the picturesque landscape that surrounds the Bolton Abbey Estate one again. Join us 12-3pm lovelies!
For this weeks edition of the ever popular feature, ‘The Beauty Bible’ we are talking all thing’s hair care. After this cold, and far too blustery winter we thought it was time for a new hair care haul. Yes, it’s finally time to start saying ‘Good Bye’ to those nasty split ends, ditch the heat for a while and invest in some fabulous new products that will make your bridal locks oh-so luscious.
My First Tip… Invest In A Professional Hair Dresser!
Recently, after starting going back the hair dressers after years of using drugstore box hair dye (terrible I know), and even more years of straightening my naturally wavy hair to a crisp. I knew it was time for a change, my hair was damaged, dry and I had more split ends than ever. Not to mention i’m one of those that pick’s at them too! Nightmare.
I sought out expert help from the lovely Adele from Bang Hair, on the beautiful Low Petergate in York. And, within 3 hour’s my hair had gone from the terrible patchy state it was in, to long, silky and shiny hair. Lovely.
A professional hairdresser has the expertise as to what to do, how to treat damaged hair and what products to recommend to you after having your pampering at the salon. A good hairdresser will work MAGIC on your hair.
Your hair will also thank you for a good chop too!
Professional Hair Care For Your Bridal locks…
After having your in salon experience, ask your hair stylist what products they would recommend for your hair. One bog standard shampoo may work wonders on your hair, but not so much on someone else. Think of your hair like skin, everyone’s is different, therefore each different hair type will need a different mix of products to get the best results.
Today, I am introducing you to a hair care brand that has worked wonders on my very own hair, and there too is a different range for every hair type out there.
I use the Kérastase ‘Nutritive’. A new range that delivers nourishing care for dry, sensitive hair. It’s recently being revamped by the Kérastase experts, offering much more personalised care, in order to boost conditioning nourishment to the tip. It’s honestly the best thing I have ever used on my hair.
Transform your own bridal locks with a nourishing shampoo, that doesn’t strip and leaves hair soft to the touch too. Follow by applying a super hydrating hair mask. The texture is like a medium thickness silicone-heavy cream that just glides on the hair with such ease. Nothing to heavy or light, which is great. Hair once dry, is left feeing very soft, manageable and moisturised.
Next, once hair has being towel dried add a hazelnut sized amount of Nectar Thermique. This acts as a primer, and preps hair for blowdrying and styling. Perfect for all those preparations for your wedding too!
Finally, use Kérastase Elixir Ultime to give the final touches to your hair. This luscious oil will make hair polished, ultra shiny and compliment all the other products wonderfully. All the other treatments will leave your hair in such great condition this products works perfectly because it’s so light, it doesn’t weigh hair down, it just tames the frizz and gives lots of shine.
