Lipstick Of The Month: MAC Cosmetics Honey Love…
Looking for a nude to peachy lipstick for your wedding day? Then look no further! This week I have taken inspiration from my very own make up bag to put together this months “Lipstick Of The Month”. Introducing MAC Cosmetics Lipstick in the shade “Honey Love”…
I have being switching and swapping between colours from MAC for a while. Every time i go into the store i seem to come out with a new nude lip colour (bad i know!). So, now as you can imagine my make up bag is cluttered with every possible nude colour you can imagine!
Back to the point, with me being very pale it has always being hard for me to find a nude lip colour that doesn’t just look like i have wiped a concealer stick on my lips, and washing me out completely (the terrible look that seemed to be popular in secondary school!) Know what I am on about? If you are pale you will know where i am coming from… this is where “Honey Love” Comes in. My favourite go to lip colour.
MAC describe “Honey Love” as a light beige tone with rose, which is very accurate. This makes for the perfect nude lip colour if you are pale like me, a lovely blend of the colours. Not to dark and not too light! The hint of rose in would make for the perfect blushing bride.
The colour pay off is incredible and can match a huge variety of skin tones, depending on what lip colours you like.
The Subtle, elegant and a extremely beautiful colour is in Matte. Therefore, like many matte lip sticks from MAC, it is extremely durable. Trust me when i say it will be just fabulous for your big day! The formula is fairly different from other matte lipsticks available from other companies. This one is not as drying as those. That’s thanks to its lovely buttery properties and of course the signature yummy vanilla smell that MAC lipsticks have.
Just remember, If you have any dead skin on your lips, you will need to exfoliate before applying this product! Otherwise it will accentuate that area.
To add more definition to my lips and for a longer lasting colour i religiously use a lip liner. This over all makes a huge difference, it makes lips look just flawless. I use MAC Cosmetics Lip Liner in “Subculture”.
This liner is actually slightly darker than the shade “Honey Love”, however i do love the effect it gives. It make lips appear slightly more plump, great for that perfect pout on your wedding day! Liners are fabulous for lining, shaping and filling in the lips you your desired affect. The formula, like the lipstick is also smooth and creamy, it allows for the most beautiful application, that is quick and precise.
This shade world fabulously for my darker nudes, so can be used across a range of different colours. There is no need to buy a different lip liner for every colour!
