Cocktails & Cupcakes for a Honeymoon Shoot with Kieran Paul Photography
Hello, lovely ones! Today is the day that we introduce to you the hugely talented creative that is Kieran of Kieran Paul Photography to The Wedding Affair blog. Fortunately, we’ve had the pleasure of working with Kieran a couple of times now at Ripon Cathedral and The Talbot Malton, and his picture perfect work never ceases to amaze.
If you haven’t yet said “Hi!” to the wonderful photographer that is Kieran, then keep your eyes peeled on our social handles as he will be exhibiting with us again some time very soon. Alternatively, you can take a long look at his work in this delightful honeymoon shoot, of which is oh-so lovely of newly weds, Jaime and John.
From the moment that this photoshoot landed in my inbox, I just couldn’t wait to share the snaps. The pairs couple of days with Kieran included cupcakes, cocktails, leisurely walks and climbs; Kieran, even gave the pair a tour around the historic city centre that we’re so proud to call home!
You can really tell that the couple felt at ease with Kieran and in fact, they sounded much more like friends – thank you to Jaime and John for providing such kind and warm words about Kieran and letting us share a small part of your honeymoon.
“Jaime & John contacted me in October of last year. They were planning their honeymoon trip to the UK all the way from North Carolina – They really wanted to visit York, mainly because Jaime was a huge Downton Abbey fan so loved the historic scenery that the city could offer.
They both met on a blind date in the summer of 2014 by John’s boss and instantly hit it off! They mostly talked about Harry Potter which explains why they got so excited when I took them to the Harry Potter shops on the shambles in York.
John had been planning to purpose to Jaime for a while but wanted it to be a surprise so he decided to plan it on his birthday in 2016 – Jaime didn’t suspect a thing….perfect.”
“They both got hitched 6 months later on the 23rd October at the Rand-Bryan House In Garner, NC on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.
Jaime was in the middle of her graduate Social work program at the time so they had to wait a while until they had the chance to go on their honeymoon adventure to the UK. They booked a 10 night trip starting in London and making their way to York until their final stop off in Edinburgh.”
“Jaime and John wanted to have a professional photographer capture their time in York and I am so happy that they chose me, we had such a laugh walking around York on a Monday morning enjoying the views, cupcakes and a cheeky cocktail.
The next morning, we decided to head up to Brimham Rocks for a mini adventure session before they had to catch their train to Edinburgh later that day.
I love my job!!! I get to meet so many amazing and interesting people and Jaime and John were awesome to hang out with – Thanks so much guys for having me capture a tiny snipet of your story”
Testimonial from Jaime + John:
“I can’t say enough good things about Kieran. He is an extremely personable and professional individual. He made us feel very comfortable while taking our photos and he even took the extra time to show us around York. We stopped at local eateries, cocktail bars, and Harry Potter shops. It honestly felt more like hanging out with an old friend rather than an unknown photographer. The photos came out better than expected. We absolutely love them and can’t thank Kieran enough for capturing our York adventure. It’s not a matter of if we come back to York, but rather when. And rest assured that when we come back we’ll be looking up Kieran again for more photo shoots, cupcakes, and cocktails.“
