Monday Mood Board: January Blues (But More Beautiful)
Hello, lovelies! I am delighted to welcome you back to our pretty little page this Monday morning, I hope that you had a wonderful weekend and that January is going well for yourselves? For myself, I am supposedly participating in ‘Dry January’ and ‘No Spend Month’ which is going well up until now (wish me luck!) so, my weekends certainly aren’t the most glamorous at the moment and if you know me, you will know just how much I love both of these things!
Are you forgoing anything this month?
Oh, and whilst on topic there’s no better time to introduce you to this mornings mood board; January blues, but beautiful ones none the less. Undoubtedly, this month is a struggle for us all: tighter budgets, the cold that just won’t shift, trying to shift that few extra pounds worth of Camembert and of course, the ghastly weather.
Beat the January blues with this gorgeous pretty pastel palette. Smart, chic, elegant and timeless; it’s showing us how we can fall back in love with this month and the blues.
For The Ladies…
January is a month for laid-back loveliness elegance and simplicity. So, for our first inspiration board we created something that banishes January blues and embraces the winter chill. Take inspiration from with bare branches and a touch of soft romance to brighten up the season.
This month, why not embrace a coloured wedding dress, nude chiffon or a romantic lace blue gown. We are swooning over the gowns below, created by Katya Katya Shehurina. Oh, Please can we now talk about *those* shoes. I am sure every bride would love to walk down the isle in a beautiful blue pair of how about a lush pair of Valentino Rockstuds? Perhaps both would do! After all you do only get married once!

Sensational Styling
Pale-hued flowers, white roses and blue hydrangeas create an understated and refined look. These paired with touches of natural materials, foliage and bare branches make for a stunning bouquet. Why not recreate this for your own special day flowers?
You may have thought to yourself that their isn’t really that much options for blue styling, but just take a look at these boards below! Pretty pastel hues combined with blush and white looks ever so dreamy, almost fairy tale like; we adore them.

Dainty Details
Beautiful blues used sparingly with elegant floral’s, or tableware touches and you really have picked a stunning colour palette, it pairs beautifully with golds, creams or equally blushes and pale pinks, exactly like Pantone’s 2016 colour of the year, rose quartz.
When looking to tie your colour scheme together, don’t forget about the little touches such as your stationery and decorations on the day. Finish your day with a beautifully decorated cake, adorn it with delicate paper-thin sugar petals, or a touch of gold leaf for an opulent feel. We love the cool fading blue marble tiers of this subtle creation.
