The Beauty Bible: The Honeymoon Checklist – Hand Luggage Must Haves
Good morning lovelies, ‘The Beauty Bible‘ is back this week with some essential information for your holiday or honeymoon packing. This time, it’s all about the hand luggage must haves.
For me, personally, this has to be one of the hardest aspects of packing. There’s the fact you have to put your (already chosen) make-up into fiddly small containers, fit everything from your laptop to 4 pairs of sunglasses and the pair of headphones that seemingly always seem to be in a unsolvable, everlasting tangle.
You know where I’m coming from, right?
So to help you out, we’re discussing everything that we are crushing over this week in terms of handy handbag essentials, to the little bits-and-bobs that we know are going to make your flight feel like one super organised dream.

What to pack in your carry on bag
iPad/ Laptop/ Kindle
It’s always best that you keep these in the cabin rather than the hold to avoid damage. These can also provide handy in-flight entertainment too. Just make sure that you have a bag that is roomy enough to fit in all the valuable electronics to avoid potential breakages (we’ve all seen how brutal airport staff can be with our suitcases!)
Oh, and you can get some rather gorgeous looking cases to pretty up your honeymoon luggage. We couldn’t ever say no to Kate Spade.
Pst, remember ear phones too!
Sunglasses
Because if your eyes are light-sensitive, you should never go anywhere without sunglasses. If you’re jetting off somewhere with much warmer climates than England then you will be sure to need these when you land. I don’t think there’s a better holiday accessory than a chic pair of sunnies.

Compact Hairbrush
You don’t need us to explain why you need a hairbrush, do you?
However, If you haven’t yet got your hands on a Tangle Teezer than you are totally missing out. Big style. They have a huge range of de-tanglers for every hair type, and use imaginable. One of those is a cute little compact brush that easily fits into even the tiniest of handbags.
Keep your eye out for their ever-growing collection of colourful prints that adorn the brushes too – they make for the prettiest travel companion.
Purse, Passport & Travel Documents
This goes without saying, you certainly won’t be getting anywhere without your passport and boarding cards. Also, so your research online to see if you need to fill out any Visa’s or take any extra ID or booking information with you.

Make up Bag
This isn’t necessarily just for make up, so whether you decide to go bare faced or wear a full face of make up is completely up to you. We do however recommend taking a clear make up bag to pop a few plane essentials in (this will save you from digging out your liquids and putting them in “baggies” before you go through security.
Anti-Bac Hand Gel
Even if you don’t consider yourself a total germophobe, I’m sure you will agree that there is something about flying that will more than likely turn you into one: air-plane bathrooms are often filthy by the end of the flight (and sometimes at the start, too, if you’re really unlucky), and all that recycled air makes them great places to catch whatever bug is doing the rounds, so, always take a hand sanitiser, and use it liberally.

Hydration
Planes are notorious for drying out skin. They 100% don’t work wonders at all for that glow we have worked so hard to achieve (we can thank the lack of humidity & oxygen for that). Be prepared with a little pot of moisturiser and lip balm for emergencies, or when you just feel like a little extra hydration.
We also suggest taking some eye-drops on board. I don’t know about you but as soon as the doors are shut and we are setting off, my eyes get incredibly dry and irritable, it almost feels like hay-fever. Don’t leave them out, bring a little nourishment in the shape of eye drops and they will more thank thank you for it.
Lipstick
Because if you only take one piece of makeup, lipstick is going to be it. Or at least a lip balm!
What will your Honeymoon Hand Luggage Essentials be, loves?
