Cocktail of the Month: From the Garden
Hello, lovelies! How was your bank holiday? To wash away those long weekend blues, it’s time for ‘Cocktail of the Month’ with thanks to approved suppliers, Fusion Event Bars.
The talented team will be showcasing a new drink every month that’s not only seasonal, but utterly delicious and wedding perfect too! Last month, we saw the turn of a refreshing Rhubarb Fizz and this months summery concoction is certainly just as delicious… Take it away, Jules!
The sun might have gone but there is still time to squeeze in one last round of summer cocktails! This is the perfect long drink, with a gin base, cucumber, mint, fresh apple, soda and of course a splash of bubbles!
- 50ml Jinzu Gin
- 30ml infused apple juice
- 15ml elderflower cordial
- 20ml Prosecco
- 20ml Soda
- 15ml fresh lemon
The preparation for this drink is key, we are going to infuse mint and cucumber into our apple juice. A really simple way to do this is place 30 mint leaves and 6 peeled lengths of cucumber into 1 litre of apple juice. Give it a stir and pop it into the fridge for 8 hours. All them flavours will combine to create a great tasting apple juice perfect for this drinks!
This is a build style drink so we are going to simply add all the ingredients into the serving glass over crushed ice and mix together. We have added some Amaranth which is a micro herb for colour and but it’s light baby beetroot taste also adds to the drink.
Garnish with a lemon and mint sprig, lay back and enjoy!
Is ‘From the Garden‘ a match made in heaven for you wedding or special occasion? We think it’s the perfect tipple to keep that summery feeling for longer. Remember, if you’d like any more details on this recipe or bar hire for your wedding, you can contact Jules from Fusion Event Bars for more details.
