The Beauty Bible: Floris – Scent With Love
Hello lovelies, happy Friday!
I hope this week has treated you well and your weekend is filled with lot’s of exciting plans? For me, a couple of days of relaxation and catching up with some of my old school friends is well over-due. It’s certainly the time of the year for long bubble baths, evening’s spent watching trashy TV with a glass of Pinot and long strolls, of course, with my newly brought cosy woolly jumpers (and, yes I’m well aware that it isn’t officially Autumn yet. But, when Zara has such beautiful AW collections in, it’s hard to resist temptation!).
I’d love to know what you guys are all getting up to…
Talking of relaxation and all things sweet smelling, we have the most perfect blog for you today. It comes in the form of some rather dreamy products from the luxurious range that is Floris.
Floris, did you know, is the oldest English retailer of fragrance and toiletries and is still family owned to this date? Their range of products are still developed at 89 Jermyn Street, London and are made in England where their dedication to traditional ways has been combined with the most up to date production values and techniques. This results in finely created scents using only high quality fragrance oils and techniques.
Not only does Floris produce high quality fragrances, but their renowned bespoke services allow you to go and create your very own wedding day scent. A blend that is totally unique to you. This bespoke service is an essential for Brides, and Grooms seeking the ultimate scent that not only will smell irresistible on the day, but whenever it is inhaled, they will automatically be transported back to joyous, beautiful and happy memories of their wedding day.
A perfume from Floris provokes memories, no matter what the occasion. So, you can guess my excitement when I was told I would be receiving some of their lovely goodies to share with you beautiful lot.
Fleur – Eau De Toilette
Selecting a scent to sample from Floris online store was actually much trickier than it should have been, all for good reasons, may I add. There’s a vast range of sweet sounding scents to choose from; musky, woody, oriental, fruity (the list goes on). Of course, I just had to select Fleur.
Fleur is a floral perfume where even the name is enough to make you want to inhale. Personally, I profoundly adore floral perfumes, not only are they feminine but they bring up memories of freshly cut flowers at the market. Something that I always loved the scent of.
Fleur was introduced into the range in May 2000 as a celebration of the new Millennium. Floris says, “The inspiration behind the creation of Fleur according to Floris, was the recalling of gentle dewy mornings with the promise of a warm and languid day ahead. Light and innocent, the fragrance has a serene and sophisticated freshness.”
For lovers of sweet, powdery floral scent’s this will be perfect for you. Fleur is a soft floral scent with a cool aquatic facet. Wet, freshly washed hair, strolls across the meadows, laughter, relaxation and nature at its most pretty.
Plus, how gorgeous is the packaging and bottle?
Peony & Rose Scented Candle
If you know me well, you will know that I am a firm lover scented candles. I’ve always been a convert of Jo Malone candles however, nothing quite compares to these beauties from Floris. The longevity of the scent, the light notes and calming atmosphere that this candle provides is second to none.
The Peony & Rose luxury scented candle was my choice (the love for the Peony continues…). The candle according to Floris “embodies femininity, conjuring modern apartments with rich dashes of luxury and poise. Fragile peonies evoke a sense of early spring as they intertwine with the opulence of rose, violet leaves and ivy, while green tea, cinnamon and clove add depth and a hint of spice to create warmth in the heart. Iris and musk gives this scent its distinctive character.”
The high level of pure fragrance oils used in these candles ensures a richly scented ambience at home. Each candle is hand poured with blended wax to ensure even burning.
Best used by the side of a bubble bath, reading your favourite book, or on your make-up dresser as you get ready for your very special day. The floral notes will gently glide around the room, uplift and calm.
Have you chosen your wedding day scent yet? Or, are you a firm lover of Floris, if so what’s your favourite perfume? I’d love to know.
Have a beautiful weekend!
