Monday Mood Board: February Feels… Pretty Inspiration
Welcome to our February mood board where we are sharing everything that’s inspiring us this coming month! We are determined not to let the winter blues get the best of us, even if our hair may be taking a serious battering by the crisp cold mornings, and blustering wind. It may not feel it, but the winter months grace us with so much beauty.
So, as we head into this month, we have cosy nights – snuggled on the sofa with a warm woollen blanket, romantic details (just a subtle reminder that it’s valentines this month!) and women’s rights on our mind. What’s inspiring you this month? Do let us know in the comment’s section below. Meanwhile, do feast your eyes on this pretty page and be prepared to be inspired.
February is truly a time where there is natural beauty in abundance – take inspiration from natural earthy tones. Ask your stylist to give you some inspiration, incorporating natural fabrics, and dyes. Tartan? Perfect option if you are having your reception in a barn, or grand venue. Either way it will really add that personal, homely and cosy feeling that all of us crave this time of the year.
Crisp Morning Colour Inspiration
Make the best impression right from the very start, with exceptional styling and beautiful calligraphy. Of course, nothing less than elegant, chic and will do. Don’t you adore these colour combinations? Remember, do take a look at The Wedding Affair approved supplier list for more pretty inspiration.
February is the month of love, and not only because of Valentine’s Day but because here in England, we finally start to get a little more daylight in the morning, the days become longer, and of course January has being and gone. However, it’s a very bland month, weather wise. For this mood board I have taken inspiration from frosty mornings and grey sky, whilst of course adding a little splash of our favourite colour, pink.
Plus these blooms must be the perfect way to cure those winter blues, right?
Romantic Chic Vibes…
Undoubtedly, pretty pink’s and vibrant red hues are the ultimate colours of love and romance, and also an absolutely perfect choice for any wedding theme.
For a bright and bold pop of colour, choose bright red. Or, for a more soft and romantic look and feel, select a variety of lighter pink colours for your wedding day design. Today, however, we are taking inspiration from the softer, calmer tones that February offers us – washed out hues and soft crisp colours are what inspires us this Monday morning.
Of course, we had to create one girly board for all the ladies that are feeling romantic this month. Lace is a must, and pretty pastel blooms accompany today’s theme.
