Cocktail Of The Month: Apple & Gin Delight
Good morning from our little space on the internet, can you believe how fast is this month speeding by – it’s crazy to think that we are already nearly in November?! We’re sure that this month’s cocktail will also bring some joy and deliciousness to the short time that is left of October. Well, to be fair you’ll also find plenty of other times to indulge in our Cocktail Of The Month. This could be our best one yet!
Tart, slightly sweet and smooth with a fruity apple forward taste, this Apple & Gin Cocktail is filled to the brim with lovely warming Autumnal flavours. Easy on the eyes and downright delicious, this concoction is perfect for special occasions, night’s snuggled in front of the fire or shared with your love on a weekend away!
Nestled in this cocktail you’ll find hint’s of warm cinnamon spice and a touch of thyme. Not only does this cocktail have all of the looks to serve at your Autumn wedding, but it’s flavour is one that’s unique and yummy. Best of all, we know it will keep your guests happy; a little different from the run of the mill Prosecco (as much as I love it) and Beer.
Filled to the brim with cozy, warm, fall flavors (and plenty of booze), this Apple and Gin cocktail just might rival your dessert…

Make the honey simple syrup: Add the hot water and honey to a mason jar and shake vigorously until the honey dissolves. You can make the honey simple syrup one of two ways. The quick way: mix the honey and water in a mason jar, or a container with a tight fitting lid and shake vigorously until the honey dissolves. You just need to make sure the water you are using is hot. The slower way: combine the honey and water in a small saucepan and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir until the honey dissolves. Both methods end up with the same result – deeeelicious honey simple syrup!
For the cocktail: Combine gin, apple cider, lime juice, honey simple syrup, and cinnamon in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously until chilled.
To serve: Fill two glasses with ice and sliced apples. Strain cocktail to glasses and garnish with sprigs of Thyme. To make the glasses look pretty before the cocktail is poured in, rim the glasses with a combination of brown sugar and cinnamon – the perfect extra little finishing touch to the drink.
Remember, you can easily triple or quadruple (or more!) this recipe if serving a larger party. This cocktail would look really pretty in a pitcher with the apple and thyme garnishes. Or, you could serve it party punch style in a big ‘ole bowl! Getting in the Halloween spirit and all…
