The Beauty Bible: Our Chanel Picks For Even More Luminous Skin…
Happy Friday lovelies! Who’s ready for the weekend? I know I sure am… what are your plans for this rather sunny looking couple of days? I think fizz out on the patio and the first BBQ of the year is calling my name.
This morning, for our feature The Beauty Bible we are looking at our all time favourite make-up brand, Chanel. Chanel is famed for it’s cult products, stunning array of seasonal colours and of course, *that* rather gorgeous packaging. You can’t ever walk past a Chanel counter without catching a glimpse of the perfectly lined up polishes and getting a lovely faint wave of the Mademoiselle Perfume. Hands down my aaalll time favourite scent! I still remember how much I treasured my first bottle of the delicious perfume.
I’m sure we could all agree it’s a brand that screams luxury. (Don’t even get me started on the bags).
Chanels’ beauty product selection is rather quite large, it can sometime’s hard to judge what goes with what and what product’s are suitable for your skin type. Whilst I would 100% recommend you pop by one of their counters, or stores depending on where you live, I also understand that not everyone has the time for this; what with work, social life, commutes and wedmin. To help, we have collated together our best beauty picks from the brand, for gorgeous summer skin.
Start with a Dewy, Fresh base…
Of course, I always say start with clean, freshly washed and toned skin. That way, make-up can be applied on flawlessly and seamlessly.
Next, try out the Hydra Beauty Serum. It intensely hydrates, plumps and protects all skin types against free radicals. This lightweight serum will be everything your summer skin will have ever wished for; it’s fine, fresh texture instantly melts into the skin to prep and prime, whilst leaving a subtle, oh-so gorgeous (subtle) fruit scent behind. Lovely.
For an on-the-go refresh? Try the Hydra Beauty Essence Mist. It will keep your skin hydrated aaall day long!
The Foundation & Pop Of Colour…
For summer, a lightweight foundation is a staple in the make-up bag, right? One we are crushing over from Chanel is The Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation with SPF25. Yes, I know what you are all thinking, an SPF foundation isn’t lightweight at all?! I thought the same at first, I’m not going to lie.
Oh, how wrong was I?
The Healthy Glow foundation promises to leave skin looking radiant as ever AND protects from harsh environmental conditions. Available in 14 shades and in a compact travel-friendly bottle: this foundation is the perfect wedding day or honeymoon companion.
For a little touch of lovely colour it has to be the Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour Stick. This handy make-up tool can be used to softly sculpt, blend and buff into the skin for a velvety pop of colour. Choose Blush No.20 for a darker hue, or for a luxurious blush Blush No.24
Dust On The Powder…
And, to set the foundation? A lightweight powder is needed to continue on the fresh, radiant looking skin. Poudre Universelle Libre is a natural finish light powder that gently evens out and mattifies the skin without emphasising lines. It’s ultra fine so you can say ‘Buh Bye’ to cakey thick powders.
Illuminate your natural beauty with the Camelia De Chanel. This soft illuminating powder is textured with a radience-boosting camellia, it brightens up shadowy areas and accentuates the high points of the face that naturally catch the light for a glowing goddess satiny make-up result. Snap it up quick though, this beauty is limited addition.
Finally, sculpt the eyes with the Les Beiges Healthy Glow Natural Eye shadow Palette for a naturally defined look.
This extremely versatile palette can be used for just about everything. Not only does it double up as an eye shadow, but too a base, eyeliner, brow intensifier and highlighter. No matter how it is used, the silky texture makes application easier than ever and means gorgeous results every time.
