To cheer you up on this not so fine Friday morning, wherever you may be, we are sending you your weekly dose of make-up inspiration with The Beauty Bible. Today, we are talking all things blush. After all, they don’t call it a blushing bride for nothing! Aside from finding your perfect wedding-day foundation, blush is an essential when it comes to that big-day glow.
Read our favourite’s below. We have them all covered; from creme’s to compacts and sparkly shimmering shades. What’s your favourite shade of pink?
Dandelion Dew Liquid Blush
We are so crushing over everything about Dandelion Dew Liquid Blush, by Benefit Cosmetics. I mean just look at the packaging for a starter.
This sheer, baby-pink blush gives cheeks a dewy, delicate and healthy glow. Its lighter-than-air liquid texture melts in for a natural blush look that’s so soft and radiant…you’ll look lit from within. It’s very creamy, easy to blend, and wears considerably long for a cream product at around seven hours. It leaves behind a soft, dewy finish, it’s far from cakey and will be gorgeous as part of your bridal make-up.
NARS ‘Orgasm’ Blush
A cult classic, famed in the beauty industry not only for it’s stand out name but too for it’s golden glitter pigmented blush. A firm favourite of mine.
You only need to use the tiniest amount for a subtle shimmer. NARS ‘Orgasm’ blends like a dream and the peachy-coloured blush complements any skin tone. A gorgeous blush to brighten up the complexion with a natural-looking glow that blends on to the skin flawlessly.
MAC Cosmetics Crystal Glaze Gloss
An ultra-moisturising tinted gloss in a jar that transforms any lip colour with a glossy shine. Not only is this great as a moisturising glaze for you lips, but it too looks amazing used for a glossy eye colour, or a pop of colour on the cheeks. Combine with pigments from other blushes, bronze’s or shadows and release the inner make-up artist in you (we are sure everyone has one!).
Our favourite hue of them all? MAC Crystal Glaze Gloss in ‘Nice Cheeks’. It is described as a warm brown with a sheer finish. A lovely peachy colour for your wedding day, but be quick, snap it up whilst you still can as this beauty is limited edition.
MAC’s Crystal Glaze Gloss is everything that you need for a dewy, fresh faced radiant look the day you tie the knot. For a full make-up look take inspiration from our Spring Make-Up Haul…🌷
Bare Minerals Blush
The bareMinerals natural powder blush is the nearest you’ll come to a cream, whilst being a powder. The super-smooth formula blends in, defining features and brightening the complexion for a totally natural look. You will only need to apply a small amount of the powder on the blush brush, and then build as you would like for a deeper colour. We absolutely love the applicator, too. While powder blushers risk spillages, bareMinerals have created a clever pot which only releases the make-up when you twist it. Handy, ey?
The bareMinerals blush is perfect for sensitive and problem-prone skin.
Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge
This multi award-winning Bobbi Brown blusher is a real industry favourite. There’s still the classic formula, for a natural glowing enhancement, but now it’s in a super handy mirrored compact, perfect for your bridal clutch. Remember to moisturise well, then prime skin before applying if you are going for a fresh faced no foundation look, or simply blend over fresh foundation for an even finish.
This handy blush also doubles up as a lip tint and eye colour too.
