The Beauty Bible: Beautiful ‘Toasted Hazlenut’ By Becca Cosmetics
Morning, bride beauties!
I hope that you’re all really well and looking forward to the weekend, what are your plans – wedmin? I think it’s about time that I made a start on Christmas shopping. Yes, I know that it’s not December yet but I’m starting to worry about how I’m going to afford everything – I don’t have a massive family, but it seems that I always go WAY over board. Please, if you have any advice for budgeting at Christmas, send it my way.
In other festive news, the York Christmas Markets opened yesterday and I’ll be heading there over the weekend, I’m rather excited. Mulled wine, it’s been waaay too long! Is anyone else popping by?
Anyhow, before I end up on a Christmas waffle, It’s time that I introduce to you this month’s lipstick love. A winter favourite of The Wedding Affairs’, Lush Lip Colour Balm in Toasted Hazelnut proves a staple rich brown in our make-up bags. Oh, and the name – I guess that’s kind-of Christmassy too.
“Lush Lip Colour Balm combines everything you crave about a nourishing lip balm and everything that you love about a lipstick to create your perfect, go-to lip look. The ultra-creamy and luxuriously lightweight formula glides smoothly onto lips with a satin soft finish.
The build-able colour enhances your lips with a customisable coverage – swipe once for a natural flush of colour, build for more intensity.
Infused with jojoba oil and many more natural properties, Lush Lip Colour balm promises nourished, hydrated and kissable lips that will stay just that way throughout the day.” – Beccca Cosmetics
I was immediately drawn in by the breathtaking packaging of these lipsticks — the lucid tube is so stunning and chic , making them picture perfect for your wedding and too, a sturdy option to carry around in your clutch.
As mentioned above, the lipsticks have an amazingly soft and weightless texture with a build able coverage — swipe the lipstick on once to enhance natural lip colour for a effortlessly sheer shine, or layer the lipstick on for full coverage and a luxurious pop of colour.
The Jojoba oil infused formula is very comfortable, providing plenty of hydration to keep lips smooth and nourished throughout these winter months, which is what we all need to protect our lips. Understandably however, these colours do have some slip to them, so longevity will depend on what you eat or drink; I was able to get three hours of wear without eating before needing to reapply. Which, is enough for your wedding day but perhaps not as long as some more matte textures.
Overall, I really enjoy the silky, supple and sheer finish of these lipsticks. The shade ‘Toasted Hazelnut‘ is a winter favourite, not just for it’s name, but the colour is a lovely cool-toned brown; it’s not too dressy, but it’s not too casual, either. The conditioning of the formula I also have to emphasise is fantastic — they’re super soft and lush, and apply on seamlessly to give a lovely pigmentation with a hint of sheen for a highly moisturising finish that’s very enjoyable to wear.
Do you have a lipstick love for this time of the year? I’d love to know your thoughts.
Have a wonderful winter weekend, everyone! X
