The Beauty Bible: AW17 Beauty Look-book
Hello all! We’ve made it to Friday, which we’re seriously happy about; even if all of our weekend’s are consisting of working. This Sunday, we’ll actually be heading out to the most gorgeous Carlton Towers that’s nestled away in a teeny-tiny village near Selby. So, it’s not all that bad really is it? We’ll be surrounded by the loveliest suppliers, cake, bubbles and beautiful brides. Oh, and did I mention that this venue is gorgeous? Like, really, really gorgeous.
And, as for all of the gorgeous gals that aren’t working this weekend, well you’re in for a treat. As you may or may not be aware of, Friday is dedicated to our ever-popular Beauty Bible features. It’s really just an excuse for me (Ella) to talk silly amounts of make-up, bridal beauty and more make-up. And, been a total beauty junkie, I can’t think of anything better.
Today, I’ll be talking all about the looks and products that I’ve fallen total head-over-heels in love with; all thanks to sparkling beauty launches, fashion weeks and celeb look’s that are to die for.
A new – colder – season is upon us and and it’s time to consider the key beauty looks, trends and tips from the autumn/winter 2017 shows. From the new groomed minimalism to the perfectly imperfect bold lip, see the top major hair and make-up trends of the season here in today’s Beauty Bible feature.
The Smokey Eye
Ok, so we’re starting off with a gorgeous smokey eye. I mean, they’re perfect for an Autumn wedding, right?
When applied correctly, they can add a touch of definition to your face, make the eyes pop and when done a little bolder, can be the perfect finishing touch to a simple make up look. We’d like to introduce you to Autumn/Winter’s softer take on the smoked-out eye… it involves a delicious combination of taupe’s, greys and a little touch of cream shimmer haze together to form a sultry, seamless yet incredibly subtle eye look.
The Wedding Affair loves: Anastasia Beverley Hills Modern Renaissance Palette. A must have for a collection of blissful burgundys, berry hues, velvety browns and creamy shimmers. Essentially, autumn in an eyeshadow palette.
No Fuss hair
Many brides-to-be strive to find the fine balance between a timeless wedding look and unique, chic details, and hairstyles are no exception. From romantic updos to flowing waves and modern cuts, the list is endless. This season, we’re crushing over the less-is-more hairstyle.
A low slung-knot for us was always going to be a top option if you want to look effortlessly stylish. Simply loop hair around and pin it into place to secure. Simple, eh? Plus, there’s no better way to show off your dream dress with a hairstyle that is effortlessly beautiful.
Thought peachy-hues were only perfect for Spring? Think again, loves. Take a fresh approach to Autumn with a wash of cool orange across the lips, a swipe across the eyes and a little touch on the cheeks for a radiant glow. Spring will be back in no time with this glowing look.
The Wedding Affair loves: Gold-Glazed Apricot Shimmer Skin stick by Fenty Beauty.
For the lovers of eyeliner, you can’t go wrong with an itsy-ditsy kitten flick. Whether it be to add a vintage touch to your wedding day look, a touch more depth to the eye or to pair with a classic red lip. Combined with a strong, natural brow’s and fresh facing skin; this is a bold, yet natural take on make-up for your special day.
What’s your best way to wear an eye-liner flick? Oh, and for perfect eyeliner, we totally suggest that you check our VB x Estee Lauder.
Complete the minimalist hairstyle with a dainty silk ribbon. Alternatively, for a bolder look a velvet bow would do just the trick for the perfect Autumn/Winter look. Pst, best completed with natural make up and a pop of silver in the inner corners of the eyes for a polished look, as seen in Tory Burch.
