The Beauty Bible: The Autumn Hair Routine To Swear By
This is a beauty tip that both hair stylists and dermatologists agree on. Try to incorporate a deep condition into your hair care routine at least once a week. Your hair will thank you SO much for the extra moisture boost! I know mine certainly did! I use the Kérastase ‘Nutritive’. A new range that delivers nourishing care for dry, sensitive hair. It’s recently being revamped by the Kérastase experts, offering much more personalised care, in order to boost conditioning nourishment to the tip. It’s honestly the best thing I have ever used on my hair.
Yes, it feels great to take a hot shower after a long day, but that water does NOT do great things for your hair—it dries it out and, for colour clients, washes out the hair colour faster than cold water. Whilst a cold shower might not sound ideal in cooler months, we recommend lukewarm instead — as a bonus, it’s also waaaay better for your skin!
Ditch The Heat
Great bridal locks require a little love and devotion. We all know that washing, blow-drying, and heat-styling on a daily basis makes for a messy head, full of split ends and “wispies” (those horrible little broken pieces of hair that stick up from your scalp).
If you do however, insist on blow-drying your hair every day, be smart: Don’t concentrate the highest temperature on your hair for a long time. Keep it moving on a cooler setting and lower velocity. It will take a little bit longer but a little more care and time will be beneficial to your bridal hair.
If you plan to curl or straighten, think “is this really necessary?” If so, be sure to use a protective spray beforehand and use less frequently.
Go Dark, (the professional way)
