Top Tips Tuesday: A Fragrant Fathers Day, Presented By AVERY Perfume Gallery
Hello everyone! Next week, Sunday the 18th of June is Fathers day (make sure you note it in the diary) and we have some sweet smelling gift idea’s for you. Again, just in case you forget. We see this day as an opportunity to spoil the men in our lives – plus, Father’s Day is an excuse to fire up the BBQ and spend time in the sunshine with your nearest and dearest! It’s all too common that men (especially dad’s) are hard to buy for. Alternatively, they just say that they’re happy with anything and we end up buying them the same run of the mill gifts, wine and peanuts. So, we’ve created our Father’s Day gift guide along with AVERY Perfume Gallery to help you all out.
We love that there’s a day carved out just for the leading men in our lives and we want to show them just how much we love them with a luxurious scent. We have 3 rather gorgeous fragrances here, tried and tested by my boyfriend, Dan.
So, why not treat your Dad, the leading men in your life, or simply yourself to a bottle of masculine notes from AVERY Perfume Galleries niche collection of candles and fragrances.
Formidable Man By Andree Putman
This scent is dedicated to Olivia’s father and Andrée’s husband, a very important person in her life. A perfume of surprise, carrying a vigorous scent that is citrusy, energetic and sharp. A total boost of power that improves mood, and makes the wearer think that anything is possible.
It’s a real sophisticated fragrance that i’m sure any Father would be grateful to receive for Fathers day. Dan told me that this lasted all day, and he too got comments from people. It has a muskier undertone that his usual Chanel De Bleu, however he would happily wear this one again. I have to say, I liked this one, too.

Cruel Incense by Blood Concept
Finally, we have Cruel Incense by Blood Concept. This fragrance is described as Blacker than the night and stronger than desire (which it definitely was). Sensual passion and an urge to dominate the other. A perfume that reveals the sweeter and contrasting side. Black pepper, cedar wood, guaiac wood, patchouli, woody amber and incense all are noticable in this perfume.
Out of all of the scents this one didn’t seem to last half as long as the others. However, if a much more strong, muskier fragrance is your thing, this one has to be for you.
Blood Concept, was created in 2010 by Antonio Zuddas and Giovanni Castelli, both from Milan. Now licensed to Intertrade Group and thanks to the expertise of their master perfumers and the guidance of Celso Fadelli, new olfactive stories are being
