These are a few of my favourite things.....

We're so delighted that we have had the chance to feature this stunning photo shoot involving some of our favourite suppliers! Beautiful ice cream colour schemes, sparkles and gorgeousness, all perfect for the lovely weather we have been enjoying (although where has it gone now?!)

We love Lissa of Lissa Alexandra Photography and asked her for the inspiration behind the shoot...

'Helen Guy, Make Up Artist approached me asking if I'd like to be involved in a bridal shoot at Sewerby Hall in Bridlington. After a few emails and a supplier's meeting our shoot theme was established and the ideas were flowing. We'd decided on a Downton Abbey/1920s/ pastel style. With the popularity of Downton Abbey and the current pastel fashion we hoped this shoot would be right on trend.

Helen sourced the models and gradually others suppliers came on board. Myself, Helen and Rachel (from Simply Vintage) went to see Kelly at Atken Bridal and she very kindly gave us the choice of all her dresses, so we picked out our favourites. We all loved the pastel bridemaids dresses, they were perfect.

After a visit to Sewerby I had created a storyboard of photographic scenes to shoot. Whilst doing this I came up with the idea of using my Grandma's dog, Lucy the Lurcher! I thought she'd be perfect for the theme and the shot of Jess with her is my favourite.

The day went so fast and was really good fun, unfortunately we didn't get time to do all the planned shots but I think everyone was happy with what we got. We had a lot of suppliers involved but I was really pleased with the selection as everyone's product complimented each others so well. I hope this collection of photographs will inspire lots of lovely brides to be with their wedding ideas and fall in love with the prettiness of pastels!'

Do enjoy...

  1. Absolutely stunning shots and how beautiful are those bridesmaid's dresses?

Lucy the Lurcher really added to the amazingness of this shoot (I have two lurchers and a greyhound).
